Increasingly
popular to give extra personality to your company, convey detailed
information or simply to liven-up a page, video on your site can
take a number of forms depending on your desired video quality,
hosting plan or clip length.
Quicktime
- using a pre-loading Quicktime file embedded within
a page is still the best way to present high-quality video to
your customers. The file sits on your own server and can be easily
updated at any time. It will not appear in any public video search
engines so you can rest safe in the knowledge that you control
your content.
Flash
Players
- now available in very high-quality and (as with Quicktimes)
a variety of sizes, this kind of player can be placed anywhere
on your page, and will contain its own play controls. The files
live on your server and can be replaced at will. Will not appear
in a public video search.
YouTube
Embedding - best if you anticipate high-traffic but
worry about exceeding your hosting server's bandwidth limitations,
a simple embedded YouTube video (or similar service) could be
the solution you need.
